Those of you that have been coming to my Guy's Nights for the last year or so know how big I am into UFC. For those of you that don't know, we started a fantasy league on http://fantasy.ufc.com where we have to make predictions as to who is going to win each bout of a UFC Pay-Per-View event. Below you will find who I chose for each bout at UFC 100 as well as some explanation (about the main cards at least) as to why I picked them. So there you have it. Now I'll hit the high points and give you a little insight as to why I picked who I did.
Brock Lesnar v. Frank Mir (Main Event) - When I first picked this card, I picked Mir by submission. Now that I have had time to reflect on it, however, I have changed to Lesnar. The main reason being the fight Lesnar had with Randy Couture. I picked Couture to win that fight and got pretty burned by that pick. Brock showed me in that fight that he had what it takes to be a UFC fighter. I still think that Mir is a great fighter but Lesnar has improved a lot since their first matchup and will not be as suceptible to the submission Mir got the first time around. While I am picking Lesnar to win, I will be cheering for Mir. This way I'll be happy no matter what the outcome!
Dan Henderson v. Michael Bisping - My brother has been a HUGE Bisping fan ever since his first appearance on The Ultimate Fighter. I am also a fan on Bisping, however, he faces his toughest challenge when he fights Dan Henderson this Saturday night. This is another fight I've been on the fence about. I feel like Bisping is a very explosive fighter that comes out of the gate swinging. Dan is a very well rounded, experienced fighter that has proven the he can take a lot of punishment. I think that Dan's experience and striking skills will win him the decision victory on Saturday night.
