Well, it's time once again to make my picks for our UFC fantasy league. I completely forgot about making my picks for UFC 106, however, I was not going to let that happen this time! UFC 107 might be one of the best overall cards we've seen in a while. Some great style matchups should make for an interesting and intense night of fights. Remember, if you would like to join our fantasy league just shoot me an email through the contact page and we'll get you signed up. Anyways, on to the picks...

So there you have it. Now I'll hit the high points and give you a little insight as to why I picked who I did.
BJ Penn v. Diego Sanchez (Main Event) - I'm really looking forward to this fight! I have always liked Diego's fighting style and how he pushes the pace, however, he's not a very technical fighter. He has decent standup, decent wrestling and a decent ground game none of which are truly spectacular. BJ on the other hand is very technical and as such is better at Diego in just about every category I mentioned above. Even though Diego likes to push the pace, that alone won't be enough to save him from a third round submission by BJ Penn.
Cheick Kongo v. Frank Mir - So you might be tempted to think that this matchup is similar to the last fight Kongo had in the UFC against Cain Velasquez, however, this is a much different bout. First off, Mir does not have the wrestling ability or cardio of Velasquez. These two things are what really helped Velasquez win. It is true that Mir has an excellent ground game, however, if he can't get Kongo down that really doesn't help. It's also a pretty well known fact that Mir has a weak chin. I think Kongo is going to catch Mir with some shots while he's trying to take him down that will ultimately lead to a second round TKO victory for the Frenchman.
