So there you have it. Now I'll hit the high points and give you a little insight as to why I picked who I did.

Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida v. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (Main Event) - Even before Machida was the Light Heavyweight Champion I thought he was a force to be reckoned with. He is a true mixed martial artists in every sense of the word. This fight for me really comes down to one question: How Will Shogun Win? I just don't see Shogun coming out with aggressive striking mainly because of Machida impressive counter striking ability. Shogun seems to have very weak defensive boxing that leaves him very open when he tries to strike. I see Machida being able to take advantage of this and winning the fight via a TKO in the 1st round.

Cain Velasquez v. Ben Rothwell - I will admit that I'm not that familiar with Ben Rothwell so it's hard for me to see how this fight will go. I did watch the countdown show on Wednesday and saw some of his early fights. He seems to have mediocre striking and a decent ground game. I would say Velasquez has a very similar style except for the fact that his striking and cardio are much better. Rothwell will come in heavier than Velasquez but weight hasn't been an issue for Velasquez in the past. I think Velasquez will get a couple of takedowns and outstrike Rothwell on the feet to grind out a decision victory against the former IFL champion.
